The Honorable Chief Minister of Assam, Sri Himanta Biswa Sarma, has launched the Assam Orunodoi 3.0 Scheme, building on the foundation of the original Orunodoi Scheme introduced on October 2, 2020. This enhanced welfare initiative is specifically designed to provide vital financial support to economically disadvantaged women throughout Assam. With the rollout of Assam Orunodoi 3.0, the aim is to increase the number of beneficiaries from 17 lakh to an impressive 37 lakh. Each eligible woman will now be entitled to receive Rs. 1,250 per month, marking a significant increase from the previous amount of Rs. 830.

• The Government of Assam in the chaired meeting on 9th September 2024 has decided to launch the Assam Orunodoi 3.0 on 19th September 2024, This scheme is launched by Chief Minister of Assam Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma.

Eligibility Criteria

• Age of the women should be between 16 to 59 years old.
