This initiative aims to clear a total of 1.5 Lakh loans for financially vulnerable farmers in Telangana. Additionally, farmers who applied for the scheme but were not included in the first phase will now be eligible for assistance in this second phase.

CM has Disbursed Rs 6,098 crore to 11.50 lakh Farmers

On Thursday, the Telangana state government announced the allocation of INR 6098 crores to support the Rythu Runa Mafi scheme by waiving loans for farmers. This initiative will benefit 11.50 lakh farmers in the state, with the government covering outstanding loans of up to INR 1 lakh. During the program, Chief Minister Mr. Revanth Reddy unveiled the funding.

He also shared that the second phase of the scheme is anticipated to commence at the end of July, during which loans of up to INR 1.5 lakh will be waived.

The government is set to allocate up to INR 35000 crores to cover all loans under the Rythu Runa Mafi or Telangana Crop Loan program.
